Synopsis:*

LATEA will be presenting the premiere of a new collaborative performance work created by visual artist Patty Ortiz, and performance artist george emilio sanchez. “only the imagination can unlock the cages of captivity” explores the intersection, and interplay, between dreams and the realities of our existence. This new work will continue the artistic journey of these two artists searching for innovative ways to merge words and images in live performance. The performances will take place at LATEA as part of the ______ festival on March 17 and 18 at 8:00 pm.

Patty Ortiz is a visual artist and george emilio sanchez is a performance artist. Their first collaboration, “In the Court of the Conqueror” premiered at Abrons Arts in 2022, and toured to 5 states in 2022. This full length performance work will continue to tour the U.S and Canada in 2023.
