Initiated as a “virtual” conversation to bring together artists and community members in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic @ September 2020, Tertulia has transitioned to a 60 minute virtual (about to go on to live) engagement where LATEA invites a a diversity of artists, culture producers and community members to candidly and informally discuss their heritage, their trajectory and their current work, as well as their aspirations for the future with Executive/Artistic Director Miguel Trelles. Past guests include Vijay Vaitheeswaran, Coco Fusco, Rosalba Rolon, Giannina Braschi, and Jesús Salas. Additionally, the program also includes musical interludes. Musical guests include Roberto Poveda, Sonido Costeño (Juan Ma Morales), and Alex Ayala (Bámbula).
