eMeLeK is a cultural and artistic project/festival presented yearly at Teatro LATEA in New York. Curated with a focus on celebrating African diasporic and Afro‑Latinx culture and legacy, the festival connects to the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of equality, justice, healing, and reconciliation. It provides a platform for performing and visual arts, music, dance, and community dialogue, highlighting the contributions of Afro‑Latinos, African Americans, and allies through artistic expression.
